Rope & Cord for Ladders
Cord Cords, Cord Tapes, and Clip Tapes for Blinds and External Blinds
High-quality ladder cords, ladder tapes, and clip tapes as replacement parts for repairing interior and exterior venetian blinds (external blinds).
Venetian blinds and external blinds are raised and lowered using lift straps. The slats, however, are tilted using ladder cords, ladder tapes, or—depending on the system—clip tapes. These components ensure that the slats are guided evenly and allow for precise opening and closing of the shades.
In this category, you’ll find various designs for numerous venetian blind and external venetian blind systems.
Ladder cords
Ladder cords consist of one cord on the inside and one on the outside, connected by so-called ladder rungs. The slats rest on these rungs or—depending on the blind system—are threaded through them. Ladder cords are used in interior and exterior blinds and are available in various ladder spacing options and designs.
Ladder Tapes
Ladder tapes operate on the same principle as ladder cords. However, instead of cords, wide fabric tapes are used on both sides, which are also connected by ladder bars. The slats rest on the bars. Ladder tapes are frequently used in high-quality interior blinds and stand out for their attractive appearance.
Clip tapes
Clip tapes consist of a narrow tape with special clips attached to it. The corresponding counterparts are attached directly to the slats. This system ensures a secure connection between the slats and the clip tape and is used in particular for modern external venetian blinds.
Depending on the manufacturer and system, different clip variants are used, for example:
- cone-shaped clips
- round clips
- Clips on the tape
- clips on the slat
When selecting the correct pull cord, pull tape, or clip tape, key factors include slat width, slat spacing, tape or cord design, and the manufacturer of the sun protection system.
