Endless Pull Cord
A continuous pull cord is woven into a continuous loop.
Our continuous pull cords are normally woven or spliced. The exception is the 2.8 mm gray cords for older Velux systems, which are glued. If the gears are stiff, the glued joints will tear; please replace the cords only when the gears are still moving smoothly.
Information on operating length/circumference:
The circumference corresponds to the length a cut cord would be.
The operating length is approximately half the circumference (200 cm circumference = 100 cm operating length).
Please always measure the diameter of the cord using a vernier caliper (also known as a sliding caliper). Measuring with a ruler or folding rule is too imprecise for these products. If you do not have a suitable measuring tool available, send us a sample of your existing item and we will find the appropriate replacement for you. Please note that ribbons and cords always have a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 10% and must not be compressed when measuring.
You can find the exact requirements in DIN EN 13120! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
