Endlos-Zugschnur
A continuous pull cord is formed into a continuous loop.
Our continuous pull cords are normally woven or spliced. The exception is the 2.8 mm grey cords for older Velux systems, which are glued. If the mechanisms are stiff, the glued joints will tear; please only replace the cords if the mechanisms are still operating smoothly.
Information on operating length/circumference:
The circumference corresponds to the length a cut cord would be.
The operating length is approximately half the circumference (200 cm circumference = 100 cm operating length).
Please always measure the diameter of the cord using a vernier caliper (also known as a sliding caliper). Measuring with a ruler or folding rule is too imprecise for these products. If you do not have a suitable measuring tool available, please send us a sample of your existing item and we will find the right replacement for you. Please note that tapes and cords always have a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 10% and must not be compressed when measuring.
Please note – the control cords and chains on internal sun protection must comply with current legislation. If longer control cords than previously used are employed, this requirement may not be met!
You can find the exact requirements in DIN EN 13120! Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email.
